We collect commission at all of our staffed offices by any of the following methods:
In most cases, we coordinate with the property paralegal to collect commission based on your preference.
In certain circumstances, we may need to override your selected delivery method if the pickup location falls outside regular courier service areas or incurs above-average delivery costs.
Additionally, please note that we may not always have the opportunity to coordinate specific delivery instructions, as some lawyer’s offices automatically send out commission cheques without prior notice or direction.
If you would like to change your current method of delivery, please contact our closings team here (button)
While the closing date marks the official transfer of ownership from seller to buyer, commission payments and brokerage notifications typically happen only after the closing has actually been completed—not scheduled.
We receive confirmation of closing and notification funds are available when the title is officially transferred.
Remember, closing is a legal process, not just a scheduled date.
We closely monitor all transactions that remain open after the scheduled closing date.
In most cases, we receive notification that a transaction has closed and commission is ready for collection within 5 business days of the scheduled closing date – once the title has officially transferred to the Purchaser.
If we have not received confirmation within that 5 day window, we will proactively follow up directly with the lawyer or outside brokerage to confirm the status.
Once commission funds are received, our team records the payment and matches it to your transaction. If all mandatory documentation and information are in place, your commission is processed!
